N’dee Law believes in supporting and uplifting community through service-based actions. N’dee Law members participate on a number of non-profit boards and committees, contributing hundreds of hours of pro bono and volunteer services each year. We receive community support, inspiration, wisdom and connection through the reciprocal exchange of a gift economy.
Another way that N’dee Law provides support is to participate in speaking engagements that share knowledge, demystify processes, honor lived experiences, and empower self-advocacy and liberation. N’dee Law has presented on Contracts 101, public contracting, equitable procurement, affordable housing, women in construction, Indigenous People’s Day, CLE/legal conferences, panel discussions, and more!
Legal Navigation Support
Many people of color, particularly Native, Indigenous, Black, and Latinx community members, elders, immigrants, and LGBTQ2SIA+ individuals face barriers to accessing legal support.
We aim to address these gaps by sharing knowledge, demystifying processes, and offering legal referrals, connecting community members with culturally conscious lawyers who understand and value our resilience and responsibilities. Contact us if you need help in finding a lawyer.
Name and Gender Change for Adoptees and Former Foster Youth
If you are an adoptee, a former foster youth, or someone who has been disconnected from biological family and you need support in obtaining a legal name change or a legal gender change, we are here to validate and empower you on that journey.
Native and Indigenous Legal Practitioner Pathway
Legal practitioners with cultural connections to our Native and Indigenous communities are desparately needed. In an effort to support career pathways for Native and Indigenous students, N’dee Law LLC engages in a number of activities to provide information, mentorship, and community building.
If you are a student, an educational institution, a law firm, or a person in the judiciary who would like to learn more about ways to participate or support, please contact us to learn more.
